It is the relationships they develop that have the greatest impact on the success of these young people.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working with youth?: Watching them grow & getting healthy to the point that they now can be successful - Developing the relationship with them that they trust in you.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working with youth?: I really love it when students get to the point that they repair the relationship with their parents.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working with youth?: Helping youth and families gain insight, knowledge, and skills for increased ability to cope with the problems in living they struggle with.

Hobbies and Interests: I am an avid bookworm! Whether it's fiction, memoirs, or information about the field. Walk in, you'll often find a book in my hands during my free time.

Which set of skills that students experience at Red Rock greatly impacts their success?: I would say the process of learning how to deal with life's issues away from the distractions of group or negative peer groups has a great impact on their success.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working with youth?: I would say it's helping them understand they are still young enough to change the direction their life is going in, as well as seeing the "light bulb" turn on when they finally realize it.

Prior professional experience: 3 yrs outpatient working with children who were victims of domestic violence. 3yrs. inpatient working with adolescent Native American clients & helping them respect their culture.

Interests and Expertise: Reactive Attachment, Victims of domestic violence, I do very well at establishing a healthy relationship with teenagers.

About You: I have always enjoyed working with adolescents. Some of my greatest accomplishments have been helping kids succeed.

Hobbies and Interests: Sports. Playing basketball, softball, and golf. Coaching basketball and baseball. Also enjoy big game hunting with archery equipment.

About You: I moved to the U.S.A seven years ago and started working in Red Rock as a staff. After a couple of years, I got my teaching license and started working as a teacher. I was the teacher on coral unit for 3 years and at the same time went to school and completed my masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have been working as a therapist for the last two years.

Our students find the opportunity to put positive attitude, purpose, and peace of mind in their lives by helping each other and working towards their personal excellence on a daily basis. This is not an easy process and requires hard work and dedication, but it is definitely worth every bit of it.
