Daily Schedule

This is an example of our student's daily schedule:

7:00 AM Wake-up/Hygiene

7:15 AM-7:45 AM Room Chores which consists of making bed and rotation of cleaning bathroom, sink/mirror area, vacuum, and dusting/straightening up room

8:00 AM-8:20 AM Breakfast

8:20 AM-8:25 AM Breakfast Clean-up

8:30 AM-9:20 AM Specific Issues Group- This group is ran by the therapist and works on issues specific to the needs of the group such as substance abuse, grief, anger management, trauma, sexual identity, etc.

9:00 AM-9:30 AM Class Meeting- The teacher sets clear expectations of what they want out of the class. Talks about where they need improvement and where they have excelled.

9:30 AM-12:30 PM Academics Starts

12:30PM-1:00 PM Lunch

1:00 PM-3:00 PM Academic Resumes

Individual Therapy occurs during academics. The therapist see the child at least twice a week.

3:00 PM-3:30 PM Unit Free Time- The have the opportunity to go back to unit to rest, read a book, write letters, work on therapy assignments, play basketball, go to weight room, etc. It is a group decision so the majority rules on what they will do each day.

3:30PM- 5:00 PM Positive Peer Group- This is run by the therapist assigned for each group. The students are allowed to offer constructive criticism of each other and are expected to confront on negative behaviors in the spirit of helping not in the spirit of hurting.

5:00 PM- 5:30 PM Dinner

5:30 PM-8:00 PM Mandatory Enrichment Classes (Sample Schedule)

The students go to enrichment class for an hour. They then have a rotation of time in the weight room and indoor gym area.

8:10 PM - 9:00 PM Showers and free time on unit. Free time is designed for students to read a book, write letters, play board games, and take time to process with staff.

9:00 PM - 9:30 PM Positive Peer Community Meeting - This is designed to discuss how the day went and how the unit handled the day and to confront any issues with any negative leaders throughout the day.
